Measures Sequential, 512K, 4K and 4KQD32 read/write speeds
Fuss free simple benchmarking utility...
CrystalDiskMark allows you to benchmark any type of disk drive. The PC utility requires minimal configuration and out of the box reports several common speed measurements: Read and write speeds for Sequential (large contiguous files) , 512 KB (medium) and 4 KB (small) files. Additionally it reports read/write speeds for 4KB files whilst the drive is under load with 32 simultaneous requests. The results are displayed in a simple to use graphic. The software is freely available as either an install package or as a standalone application.

provides 8 measures; however, these depend on selected file size and block, hence not comparable: no common parameters. Other benchmark tools use standardized parameter sets.—Sep '14
I have just found this site so I am new to this
Using settings of 1:50Mb & E: [external drive] 0/116Gb I had results of READ: 40.47; 0.697; 40.06; 0.588. Write: 39.90; 1.908; 39.43, 1.787. Can somebody translate the to FAST, SLOW, INDIFFERENT for me please. I have an HP laptop model 15-ac676TU with Intel Core i7-4510U CPU at 2.00 GHz 2.60 GHz
Great disk benchmarking utility with a clear and simple graphical display. Thanks to this, there are more screenshots from this benchmark on the web than any other. It's free, simple and has been around for ages.
Amazing drive benchmark.
Genuinely one of the best R/W benchmarking platforms out there.
