— AKA 670p — superior performance to a 760p
— SN850 levels of performance at SN750 prices (and much improved thermals/power efficiency). What's not to love?! Put this thing in Gaming Mode and you are laughing! —[removes the latency involved in power state switching which, in some situations, would make an nvme drive perform slower than a sata one]
— Low power drive with low performance. Probably only worth considering for use in a laptop.
— Possibly the best SSD for gaming as you can disable low power states with Samsung's Magician software without having to worry about the thing overheating (it's maximum power draw is lower than other high-performance NVMe drives). [The switch between power states can cause the odd high access time that can cause frame skips in games. It can also make an NVMe SSD perform slower than a SATA one in some situations. This is not something generally picked up by SSD benchmarking software — they would have to report 1% or 0.1% maximum access time averages (just like a decent gaming benchmark would report 1% or 0.1% minimum frame rate averages) and they generally don't.]
— Probably the fastest 128GB OEM 2.5" SSD around right now. Very close in performance to the 120GB Samsung 850 EVO, but more power efficient.
