— It is extremely sluggish, even running Linux Mint MATE on it feels super slow and laggy. Considering it is a low wattage CPU found on the cheapest laptops of the time, one can't expect any decent level of performance anyway, however its far from the worst low wattage CPU of its time.

— Considering that this CPU is currently costing around 80 usd on aliexpress & ebay, outperforms an 3970x intel i7 and officially supports 4 channel DDR3 RAM at up to 1866mhz, it's really hard to beat the value of this chip. Possibly the best price to performance of any used CPU in the market today, in 2020.

— Although fairly decent at the time it came out, nowadays it's completely obsolete, and if you are trying to get a used one for a budget build, it's better to settle for a GTX 670 or GTX 770.

— This CPU is absolute trash, worse than notebook CPUs from the time such as the intel i5-3340M. The 6550D integrated graphics is also quite awful, performing worse than a hd 515 intel mobile gpu.
