Hard Drives

— 8TB of storage space at $150 sounded more like an excellent deal, maybe one of the highest value HDD you can get today especially if you want to store a lot of games, videos, project files, etc. This HDD has slower read/write compared to other HDD at same capacity but that's not a big deal for 8TB HDD at that price.

WD
VelociRaptor 1TB - Average 4 years ago.
Hard Drives

— One of the fastest spinning HDD that's available on market, while 10k RPM obviously have higher R/W speed compared to other HDD, regular users are advised to opt for SSD or 7.2k RPM HDD instead.

Crucial
MX500 2TB - Excellent 4 years ago.
Solid State Drives

— 2TB SSD at $215 is an excellent deals right now. A great high-capacity SATA SSD that is very reliable.

Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 4TB - Good 4 years ago.
Solid State Drives

— The highest capacity M.2 SSD that's currently in the market. Offering 4TB of storage space in a such small form factor while using NVMe interface, this SSD is ideal for mobile workstations, or users who have only one M.2 slot left in their motherboard or wants to maximize total storage capacity without resorting to 2.5 inch SATA SSD or in worst case, HDD. The only downside is pricing which is expected for SSD that has 4TB of storage and has very fast NVMe interface while using M.2 form factor.

Gigabyte
Aorus NVMe PCIe M.2 2TB - Average 4 years ago.
Solid State Drives

— The Gigabyte's entry into lightning fast PCIe 4.0 SSD, while the orange heatsink doesn't disappoint and looks very nice, there's 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD that comes at lower price and comes with heatsink that could cool SSD better or blends in well for some builds.

Intel
Core i5-10400F - Good 4 years ago.
Processors

— The successor to the last gen i5-9400F, this CPU offer similar amount of cores albeit has 6 more thread compared to i5-9400F. This CPU, asides from multithreaded tasks such as heavy multitasking or content creation offer no difference compared to i5-9400F in day-to-day and gaming basis. Also, this CPU, without iGPU costs less than i5-10400 and those money saved can be used to buy something better such as e.g. better GPU, SSD, higher quality case fans, or if you love to stay at home, a stack of pizza and large bottle of cokes to keep a day running during a long gaming session.

Comment  cpu.userbenchmark.com/...

Comparison between i5-10400F and i5-9400F shows no obvious difference in single to quad core benchmark but thanks to 6 additional threads manages to defeat i5-9400F in multi core benchmark.

Why does UserBenchmark have a bad reputation on reddit?
Marketers operate thousands of reddit accounts. Our benchmarks expose their spiel so they attack our reputation.
Why don’t PC brands endorse UserBenchmark?
Brands make boatloads on flagships like the 4090 and 14900KS. We help users get similar real-world performance for less money.
Why don’t youtubers promote UserBenchmark?
We don't pay youtubers, so they don't praise us. Moreover, our data obstructs youtubers who promote overpriced or inferior products.
Why does UserBenchmark have negative trustpilot reviews?
The 200+ trustpilot reviews are mostly written by virgin marketing accounts. Real users don't give a monkey's about big brands.
Why is UserBenchmark popular with users?
Instead of pursuing brands for sponsorship, we've spent 13 years publishing real-world data for users.
