— "Make it, and there will be people who buy it." This seems like Nvidia's ideology when it comes to the RTX 3090. The RTX 3090 offers 24GB of VRAM and over 10,000 CUDA cores, albeit at more than double the price of the RTX 3080. The RTX 3090 tends to be a workstation-gaming GPU, like the RTX Titan and the Radeon VII. Some users will be able to take advantage of the 24GB GDDR6X VRAM, especially for VRAM-heavy rendering and editing tasks. However, gamers will find only slight improvement in terms of gaming FPS between the RTX 3080 and 3090. If you are looking to primarily game with the RTX 3090, then maybe you should consider buying an RTX 3080 or an upcoming RNDA2 Big Navi GPU.

— The RX 5500-XT 4GB is an entry-level GPU that can be obtained for about $160-180 USD. It is AMD's counterpart to Nvidia's 1650 Super. However, the 5500XT tends to be undermined by the RX 580 8GB and the GTX 1650 Super. The RX 580 8GB delivers similar performance at a similar price, but with an extra 4GB of VRAM. Nvidia's GTX 1650 Super is both more energy-efficient and has an NVEnc encoder. Considering this, the RX 5500XT is stuck in a relatively bad spot. Lastly but not least, the $200 RX 5500XT 8GB is also not a great choice, since you can easily buy a slightly better-performing GTX 1660 6GB for a similar price.

— The RX 5700 is the midground between the RX 5600XT and the RX 5700XT. It is able to come close to the RTX 2060 Super in some titles and manages to beat the RTX 2060 in most games. At one point, the RX 5700 offered an amazing price-to-performance ratio. That was when the XFX DD RX 5700 was $329.99 on Bestbuy and Amazon's websites. However, RX 5700 GPUs tend to be near the $350 mark nowadays, so it makes more sense to get the better binned and noticeably faster RX 5700XT for only $50 more.

— The RX 5600-XT is usually found starting at $270 USD for lower-end models such as the MSI Mech OC and ASRock Phantom Gaming D. Prices for higher-end models such as the MSI Gaming X and Sapphire Pulse tends to go for $290-300. Overall, this GPU trade blows with the RTX 2060 in different games, but it is generally $30 USD less than a similar RTX 2060 model. While the RX 5600-XT represents excellent value in the mid-range, users who want entry-level ray tracing and NVEnc should spend a few more bucks and get the RTX 2060.

— The i3-10100 is a very solid CPU for everyday tasks, moderate gaming, and even light workstation and editing. At approximately $115 USD, the i3-10100 offers 4 cores and 8 threads clocked at 3.6GHz and can boost up to 4.3GHz at times. The i3-10100 does have some drawbacks compared to the similarly-priced Ryzen 3 3100, such as having overclocking disabled and coming with an inferior stock cooler, but is still a very worthy opponent to AMD's offerings. The i3-10100 has lower memory latency and 3-5% faster performance than the Ryzen 3 3100 at stock. While an Ryzen 3 3100 can beat the i3-10100 when overclocked, it does lack integrated graphics, which is important to most desktop users who may not want to buy a dedicated graphics card. All in all, the i3-10100 is a solid options for people who needs entry-level CPU with integrated graphics and for people who are looking for a decent gaming experience at a low price. People who are comfortable with overclocking and people who want a much better stock cooler should look at the Ryzen 3 3100 instead.

— This CPU is a great option for people who are looking to build their first PC, but only have a tight budget to do so. An used i5-2400 can be obtained from places like eBay, OfferUp, and Hardwareswap for about $20-30 USD. Despite the i5-2400 being over 9 years old, it still has a respectable single and quad core speed, as measure by Cinebench and Userbenchmark. If you can find a cheap OEM motherboard to pair with a $30 i5-2400, it can be a great starter CPU/MOBO combo for a $300 entry-level build.

— In 2020, there is little to no reason to buy an i7-6700K for a price greater than $100. The Ryzen 3 3100 often goes for $99.99 to $119.99 and offers nearly identical single, dual, and quad core performance as the 6700K. When comparing a 6700K that is OC'ed to 4.8GHz to a Ryzen 3 3100 that is OC'ed to 4.1GHz, the 6700K will obtain a lead of approximately 5%, which is miniscule in most games and workstation tasks. Please do not buy a 6700K or a 7700K at current market prices of $150-200 USD.

— If you are looking to purchase a cheap laptop (such as the HP Stream) with the N3060 or a similar CPU, I highly suggest not to. It is worth spending the extra $100-150, if possible, to get a Ryzen 3 laptop. The N3060 is very unresponsive and the iGPU instead this CPU is also terrible. It's just an extremely cheap and low-tier CPU for shoddy laptops.

— Terrible CPU by 2020 standards, and mediocre CPU by 2014 standards. This was the CPU in my all-in-one PC that I've bought in 2014 and I've never really had a decent experience with it.
