Core i3-8130U - Average 23 months ago.

— Gets the job done in cheap laptops; a regular consumer will be completely satisfied with this CPU.

Hard Drives

— Kind of slow, to be brutally honest. Boot times for Windows 10 is okay, but you really should opt for a 7.2k RPM drive or a SSD, even. App loading speeds are acceptable once caches start to pile up.

Core2 Quad Q6600 - Good 2 years ago.

— Legendary. Still commonplace in workplaces and schools, this nearly decade old piece of hardware still breezes through Windows 10, websurfing, and even multitasking. Add an SSD and you can still breathe life into a system with this chip. Just maybe pass on gaming.

A12-9720P APU (2016 M.BR) - Poor 2 years ago.

— It seems like a lot of laptops with this chip heat and throttle very quickly. Owned one in the past and the fact that it has an IGPU on it doesn't help at all. Not like this thing is that powerful anyways; it's kind of in that spot where it's too good for old games but not enough for newer titles.

Core i3-4170 - Good 2 years ago.

— Four years ago this would be nothing to joke about when it went on sale for $110, but now it's starting to show its age. A once budget-midrange processor is now pretty much a G4560

GT 1030 - Excellent 2 years ago.
Graphics Cards

— There's not many cards like this in the market; for $60-90, you're getting a card that sucks only 30 watts, is easily overclockable, comes in low profile or passive cooled, requires no power connecters, and enough juice that it will run most games (esports? Not a problem) if you're not nitpicky. People buy this for compatibility & availability, not power; can't ask for more at this price point. Doesn't deserve the criticism.

The Best.
