Average Bench: 25% (164th of 639)

Based on 13,359 user benchmarks.  Device: VID 0781 PID 5583 Models: SanDisk Ultra, SanDisk Ultra Fit

The 32GB Sandisk Ultra Fit has both a tiny form factor and a respectable performance profile. With peak sequential read/write speeds of 136/55 MBps and peak 4K read/writes of 6.6/2.0 MBps the 32GB Ultra Fit sits amongst the top 25% of 32GB flash drives. In terms of value for money the Ultra fit fares even better and is bested only by the Sandisk Extreme. Comparing the 32GB Extreme and Ultra Fit shows that the Extreme has over double the effective speed yet the extreme is only 32% more expensive than the Ultra Fit. To conclude, the 32GB Ultra Fit has good peak performance (sustained performance is far less impressive) but its key strengths are its tiny form factor and reasonable price tag. [Oct '14 USBFlashPro]

Yeah, so this thumb drive looks like it gets throttled after about half a second of writes (down to ~20MBPs), presumably so that it does not actually melt your computer (it gets quite hot). In short bursts, it is very fast, perfect for holding an OS, which is what I use it for, hence the high rating. Not the drive for moving lots of data around.—Jan '16

as written by many users before: write is only fast for small amounts of data, then throtteled down to 20 MB/s, i assume 'thermal throtteling'. (2019 'full-plastik' model after takeover by western digital, 256 GB). i remember the previous model with alu-plug performing better, but one of two switched to read-only, i assume regarding overheating, looking for something better, 'extreme pro' is! better, but: dangerous form factor, attached by cable to prevent plug break i had plenty of disconnects ... samsung fit plus not yet tested ...

I bought this pen drive after watching it's write speed of 80+ MBps on this website and it turns out that it doesn't provide write speed of more than 20 MBps even on USB 3.0. This website is not very trust-able.

I like it, but it gets hot after a few minutes (even if that doesn't matter)

I have two of these and both frequently disconnect in the middle of use (every 10 seconds)

Lightning fast Read. But write speed seems to throttle after a few seconds and goes down to around 20 MB/s

I just have no idea why they build a such fast pd that is capable of 90 mbps write speed in a such small form factor that it gets throtled after 5 seconds and drops down to 20 mbps. Why didnt they build a nice little heatsink on it, or a metal case that can dissapate the heat? It's a pitty. However the 140 mbps read speed is still freaking amazing :)
